Gavin's Update

So right now the plan is to sit and wait to see if this fluid restriction is going to help. Restricting the fluid helps to control the blood volume so that it doesn't back up into his lungs. The nurse said that the fortifier that they put in the breast milk is down to 24 calories instead of 26. She she that when it gets to 22 then he can come home if everything else is fine. I asked the nurse when he does come home will he be coming home with a monitor and she said no....that the hole in his heart isn't affecting his heart rate or beat that it affects his o2 saturation. Today he was 4lbs 2.5oz. Since they pulled his tube he hasn't been gaining ozs a day like he was. Here are the pics...

I love seeing him without all the tubes and can't for you to get him home! Big hugs!

Come on, Big Guy! You're doing so well!

They'd have to knock me out to get me to leave there without a monitor.
