My Bones are on the Move!
Ever since I was in the hospital my pelvic area feels sooooo much wider. Must have been all the sitting in one position all night and day. I actually felt my bones spread apart. Its soooo weird! I thought your pelvic area spreads closer to delivery. Feels like I'm gonna lay an ostrich egg any minute. It also is making me waddle like a duck now....YAY!

Baby's 1st Day Home Outfit
Well I couldn't find an exact picture online of the outfit we just bought him but here is something close to it. If we ever get our camera fixed then I'll take a picture of it. The hat looks just like that too except it has the whales on it.
This is sorta what it looks like minus the light houses....it has spouting whales on it instead.

Doctor Update (Sorry its a little late)
Well on the 24th I went to see Dr. Tucker. I had to chug a glucose orange drink which tasted horrible! The test came back fine thank goodness! I noticed that the baby wasn't moving as much as I thought he would be after drinking all that sugar and Dr. Tucker was concerned also. She made me stay another hour and I had to drink another sugary drink to see if it would get him moving. I only had two kicks in that hour so she sent me over to see Dr. Maher for another ultrasound just to make sure he was ok.
Dr. Maher told me that the baby had cord restriction again and admitted me to the hospital for the night so they could give me IVs, oxygen, and monitor the baby. That night was soooooo long! The nurse had a hard time finding my veins cause I was so dehydrated. She ended up having to put it in the back of my hand which didn't hurt at the time because she numbed it (thank goodness cause she had to wiggle the needle all over my hand to finally stick the vein). I looked over at Ben while she was doing it and he was staring at the floor looking like he was gonna pass out. I was thinking ooooo no....if he can't handle this, how is he gonna handle the birth!
I had cords coming off almost every body part....had the IV and O2 sat. on my left hand and a blood pressure cuff on my right arm, oxygen up my nose, and the heart beat and contraction monitors on my belly. I had to lay in the bed motionless on my back so that the heart monitor would stay on....it stopped every time I moved and was sooooo hard to find again. The doctor wanted a pure urine sample so the nurse comes in with a catheter and I was in full panic mode! I was like nooooo really I can give you a clean sample....I promise just don't stick that thing in me! She let me pee in a cup and I was forever grateful. I know if I have to have a c-section I'll have to have one but not that day.
Needless to say I couldn't sleep hooked up to all that stuff, having to lay motionless, and having the nurse come in every hour. At 3 am she gave me a sleeping pill and finally I got some rest for a few hours. In the morning we had to wait for the doctor to make his rounds which was expected to be around 7-8 am. Eleven o'clock rolls around and the nurse told us that he came by the nurses station and looked over everything and said they would call when they could take me in for another ultrasound. So we thought Ben would have plenty of time to go home and let the dogs out and come back in time for the ultrasound.
A few minutes after he left they called and said they were ready for me so they shipped me off hospital gown and all to his office which was on the other side of the hospital. I sat in the waiting room forever feeling naked and like the room full of people were looking at me cause I was in a hospital gown and socks. The ultrasound came back way better so he discharged me and set up another appt. with him in a week. He wants to see if the fluids are gonna last that long. It seems no matter how much I drink it just doesn't affect my hydration so I'll probably have to keep getting the IVs.
I also have to do a kick count everyday. I have to write down how long it takes the baby to move 10 times in a day. So far he has been moving like crazy! After I came back from the hospital I put on a white night gown which was tight over my belly and sat on the couch. Bella and Gidget (two of our three yorkies) were sitting on the couch next to me staring intently at my belly. The baby was making my belly morph into all kinds of shapes. They just sat there moving their heads side to side wondering what in the world was wrong with my tummy. hahahaahahaha! It was the cutest and funniest thing ever. I wish I would have gotten it on tape.
Yesterday Ben and I went to the only baby store here in Pensacola and bought a baby mattress, mattress pad, and his coming home outfit. His outfit is white overalls (all one piece) with a few tiny blue whales on it and the hat has the little whales on it also. Its sooooo cute! I'll try to post a picture of it. We put the mattress in his crib and it fits like a glove! We have to wash his bedding and then we will be able to set it all up.

3rd Trimester!!! YAY!!!!!
Wow can you believe I'm in my third and final trimester now? It feels like its taken forever to get here yet the past month has flown by. The baby is opening and closing his eyes now and is approx. 15 inches long and 2 lbs. He has been moving flipping all around in my belly.....its still startles me out when he starts doing it out of the blue.
I've been in heartburn city with just about everything I eat. I'm still craving turkey and mayo sandwiches and strictly drinking either water or gator aide (tons of it). I have also noticed I love hashbrown casserole and get the makings for it every pay check. hahahahaha Ben has to be tired of it by now and I know he is tired of going to the grocery store and getting me turkey and bread.
Ben isn't liking having to clean the house and I keep reminding him its for a good cause. Its crazy cause I actually really want to clean but can't....thought I would never say I want to clean in my lifetime.
All I feel like doing these days is sleeping. It feels like I wake up, eat and drink something, take my meds, go to the bathroom, and go back to sleep. Can't wait to get some kind of energy back....hope it comes back after the baby is born.
We still aren't 100% on his name yet. Could be Gavin or Drake.....or as Ben mentioned both. lol I wonder what we are going to finally name him when he gets here.
My next doctor appt is thursday the 24th so there will be another doctor update soon.

Doctor Appt. Update
Good News!!! All the rest, water, and aspirin worked! The blood flow to the baby has dramatically improved. YAY! The amniotic fluid is still low but he said its not to worry about that right now. We are so thankful for all your prayers.
After the appointment today we went and registered at Toys R Us. That was a lot of fun but we got tired out quickly. We had no idea what bottles to go with so we just clicked away! lol I plan on breast feeding though but you never know if your milk is gonna come in or not. We are going to register at target also because they didn't have everything at toys r us.
One day I'll get some ultrasound pics up here! I have to go have them all scanned and put on a cd. The last few times the pics were a little blurry...this time we got some profile pics of his face. I felt him flip the other day and sure enough he was transverse again with his head on my left side and feet on the right. My next appt. with Maher is Oct. 6 and my next appt with Tucker is Sept. 24th.

Baby Room Pics!
Here are some pics my mom took of the baby's room getting painted by Nickie (my sister) and Freddy (her fiance). They did a great job! Ben's parents came over Sat. and brought a projector for us to blow up a tree and trace the outline on the wall. Nickie and Freddy painted it, painted another tree in the corner, painted the deer, little bugs, and a raccoon along with some grass and incorperated the stickers that came with the bedding set into their paintings. We just have to get a mattress so we can put the bedding out that Ben's parents got for us and we are looking for a dresser/changing table piece for his room. We have to put up the valence above the window and a few things here and there and then the room will be all ready for him. YAY!!!! Thanks everyone that helped! We really appreciate it!
Doctor Update
Today was my appt. with Dr. Maher. My ultrasound took a while today...around 2 hours. The baby was positioned facing my right side bottom down and it wasn't in a great position to get all the measurements the tech needed. She said that the baby is 1lb and 14 oz and that she doesn't see anything to suggest he has trisomy 18. She kept going over his heart and cord checking the blood flow. The hole in the baby's heart has fully closed up now.
After reviewing the ultrasound the doctor said that the baby has some cord restriction and the placenta/cord are working harder than they should to get the blood to the baby. At times the baby isn't getting the blood from the cord. He isn't sure why that is happening. The amniotic fluid is also really low. This means that I'm getting dehydrated so the doctor said for me to really drink a ton of water and gator aid. He also put me on baby aspirin to see if that helps with the blood flow. He is gonna wait to see if those two things help before he puts me in the hospital for IVs and puts me on oxygen. I go back to see him in a week.....Sept. 15th at 3pm for him to check everything out again. We are gonna just pray and do everything the doctor said and hope that our little boy will be fine at the next appt.

Dysautonomia
Several people have asked me about my disorder (Dysautonomia....POTS) and where they can see the episode of Mystery Diagnosis that talks about it. I found the episode on youtube and below are the links. There are many more videos that shows how dysautonomia affects different people on youtube if you search for key words and also on the right hand side of the links below under related videos. I'm glad that finally this disorder is being brought out to the public so people can know just what we go through and that its not just in our heads.
