Sleep Baby Sleep!

Gavin has been awake for 7 hours and is kinda going to sleep now. He is wanting to be held today and when he realizes I put him in his bassinet then he lets out a holy moly YELL!!! So right now I'm balancing the lap top on my lap and Gavin is laying on my chest with his chin on my shoulder. I know I know he is gonna get spoiled....too late! Usually I have to hold him in a certain position for him to go to sleep these days. He sits on my chest facing me with my hands hooked under his arms and his legs straight out and he has to be rocked slowly back and forth. hahahahahahahha All in a days work of trying to get this baby to take a nap! He has been mighty fussy lately. We think he might have started the teething stage. He was slobbering a lot but not so much right now and he will get to where he won't eat and if you graze the nipple over his gums he screams. He just started chomping down on his passy instead of sucking on it.

He is 9lbs 6oz now. He went to get a shot recently and went to see his cardiologist. The cardiologist said that he still has the hole in his heart and it hasn't changed. He said since he is doing so well with gaining weight and doesn't have any symptoms of the hole in his heart, he won't need surgery till he is older. Right after his doctor appt to get his 2nd RSV shot I started getting gall bladder attacks again. I had like 4-5 over last weekend so I went to my doctor and she is setting up an appt. for me with a gall bladder surgeon. So after that visit we will know when my surgery will be to remove it.

Gavin is starting to notice he has hands. He is batting at toys and bringing his hands together. He is still working on using his hands to push up while he is on his belly and holding his head up. He makes all kinds of coos when I get him down on his play mat. Enjoy the new pics!

AMAZING!

Prepared to be AMAZED, DAZZLED, ASTONISHED! Just look at this 3 month old baby holding his bottle all by himself. And to think they said he might have developmental delays because he is a preemie! Ok well maybe Ben propped his hands up on the bottle before letting go but he held it for a long time! hahahaha He is always bringing his hands to the bottle now so he is doing great! Pretty soon he will be doing this all by himself all the ti.me! P.S.....we have video! I'll post it as soon as I get it on youtube.

New Post Finally

Sorry I haven't posted in a while....we have less time now that little Gavin is here. Gavin is doing great. He eats, sleeps, and poops. He is starting to put his hand up to his bottle and he looks at us and knows when we are in the room. He makes the sweetest noises when he eats and he now totally fits in his newborn clothes and some of his 0-3 month clothing. Gavin loves sleeping on his tummy on our chests and no we don't hold him all day and night. hahaha He has an appt. friday for his cardiologist and I have one that morning for my dysautonomia specialist. Here are some pics that I haven't put up yet from when mom and dad were up here, when Aunt Pat came to visit and some of him in his swing.
